The title says it.
On Saturday I am going to Port-au-Prince to help assess needs at the Puerto Rican/Belgian field hospital. I will be there for 12-14 hours, arriving early AM and departing in the evening.
What tips can the crowd here offer?
Several of my colleagues are (were) there. If you are in PaP - all should be fine. Will you be in Logbase all the time? Then there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
If you are going out, make sure you have the stuff they put on your packing list. Talk to your colleagues there if there is something they can use, and you can bring (in your kgs allowance) bring it. Other than that - don't be shocked by the amount of NGOs tripping over each other
