the fares also seem to be higher around xmas, thanksgiving, labor day, other 3 day weekends & spring break.....it must have something to do w/ a lot of infrequent travelers that are buying the lowest fares....

last dec, i noticed that dfw-bdl went from ~$350 to over $500 while i was contemplating my navel about going....i didn't check the fare classe on the earlier fare, but strongly suspect that they were sold out.....

but, it could be that fewer seats are allocated in low fare buckets and the prices are upped....
