I feel the same way. Given the choice between not spending an entire day at Hongqiao Airport and being greeted by name (a difficult task whenever I'm poaching the pillow seat), I'll take the former.

Also, while it's true that CA offers "food" on most flights, I've never seen any offerings that rival Subway.
