The HGI breakfast is essentially the same as at Embassy Suites, the difference being ES suite breakfasts are included in your room rate, HGI's are free if you're gold or above.
I disagree, the HGI breakfasts I've had are a noticably higher quality than those provided by Embassy Suites, have a wider variety of cooked-to-order items, and includes table service for beverages.
