Do all fares go up in the summer? I have always thought that this phenomenon was usually limited to Europe -

Europe is cheaper in the winter (Jan Feb) but expensive in the summer months July - September. This makes sense - the weather is so much nicer in Europe in the summer, and daylight longer.

However, lately I have been travelling to Asia, I have been seeing this trend too for Asia - fares are typically higher in the summer months.

Is this true for most destinations?
