I was supposed to be on the 2/21 flight that got canceled. On the 22nd I got there at 5AM with confirmed C class. Hundreds of people waiting at both sides of the checkin area without a clue. Waited 2 hours in Biz Class line and never made it to the agent before they announced no more room.

Most guys around me were 1K(I'm a Premier Exec) and they were fumming. There were no staff in the lines helping sort out the lines - just chaos. I fly this every month and have never seen anything like it. Once I learned that I was not going on this flight, I called UA Chicago to rebook(airport staff were completely useless). First agent told me there was nothing to Tokyo until the 28th! Fortunately, the guy next to me got a flight out the next day, so I called back and got someone with a brain. They booked me BKK, Manila, Osaka, Haneda. Took 15 hours but I got there.
Ditto here...I'm one of the fuming 1Ks with confirmed C class from 2/21 that got IDB'ed on the 22nd after showing up at 4:15 a.m...

Like I said over in the other thread I finally got BKK-SYD on TG (Monday night red-eye...12 hours to explore every lounge at BKK)...then 8 hour layover in SYD before SYD-LAX-ORD on Tuesday...

Total time from the moment I stepped into BKK airport on 2/22 til touchdown at ORD today: 50 hours (with luggage still in SFO)

Glad you got out...I couldn't believe how many people accepted the $300 and got back on the bus to the "miracle" hotel to try the same thing again the next day...
