It's a bit of a weird one, in that if I renew now, BA tell me it's a new policy. I just can't get my head around it at all. If it's a new policy, then I guess I'm not covered in the event of strike action, as we already know there is a vote to strike. Besides, I don't fancy this hassle every year when I renew, so I'll go back to Boots on the expiry date. As I say, the lady at BA said if I'm overseas and hit by strike action, if it starts during the current policy I'm covered. But as I don't have that in writing, I wouldn't feel too confident. I just don't believe if I fell ill they'd cover that.

Anyway, it's adios to BA travel insurance. Can you imagine if we had this hassle renewing car insurance every year? "ooops you mean you are notifying us three weeks in advance, that means you lose three weeks of this year's insurance."
