I got that line once too. I didn't press the point, but just went down the hall to the AF lounge which let me in. On a couple of other occasions I was allowed access to the KL lounge, even on a domestic itinerary. It's a very nice lounge.
it is unfortunate that this is happening in houston.. esp after CO has left skyteam.
it is even more annoying as i went out of my way to fly skyteam on this itin.
so what would have happened had i not been given a comp upgrade...? would i still have gotten a pass to get into BA's?
