I add my cheers to yours, and would add that unlike many other carriers (most notably UA) the TAs, GAs, Phone Reps, and many of the FAs are sincere in their efforts to provide customer service.
All too often, these front-line folks become jaded and unhappy, and for all I know, AA's may well be -- but unlike UA (who takes out their unhappiness on each other and the passengers as a rule, with courtesy and service as an exception), AA personnel generally try to address their grievances appropriately, and provide quality service to those of us who pay for the planes, the fuel, the payroll, etc. I have said it before and I'll say it again, there is an authentic loyalty at play with AA -- they remain loyal to their passengers when we remain loyal to them, and they understand that this cannot unilateral and demands mutual respect.
I will now place my pom-poms in the overhead compartment until my next unAAbashed swoon.
