Last week on a pretty bumpy LGA-HOU flight a mother brought her young son through the curtain to use the F lavatory. It was a very light load, 3 of us in F and maybe 50 in Y. Don't know if the carts were in the aisle, but we were halfway through the flight so I doubt it. Anyway, as they came out of the lav (I was sitting in 3F and got the full view), the boy suddenly got a panicked look on his face, turned to his mother, and as only young kids can do, tossed his cookies *everywhere*! She managed to drag him back into the lav, but the damage was done in the F cabin before she got the door shut. They came out about 15 minutes later and she returned to her seat. I almost got ready to be annoyed ;-) but she was back in 30 seconds to apologize to me and then spent the rest of the flight trying to clean the lav and carpet in the cabin (with no help at all from the FA). So in the end, I had to give her credit for at least trying to make up for it all. And BTW, I *definitely* crossed the curtain after that to use the lavs in the rear!
