SFO-YYZ UA854 2/23 changed 320->747 is that likely for real?

I'm on 854 today (SFO-YYZ) and the upgrade cleared overnight (had been WL'ed since the window opened).

I called 1K desk because I couldn't select a seat and the online check-in didn't even take me to the pick itin screen but said "Itin XYZAB5 caused an error, see UA rep at airport for check-in".

1K desk couldn't find anything wrong so they passed me to the 1K Web Support line. After consulting with the super, the person there told me that nothing could be done till I got to the airport because it was an equipment change.

On UA I can't see this flight at all, for real bookings or dummy bookings, and flight status for it shows same A320 it's been scheduled as all along, departing from gate 74.

Well, just on a hunch I went to unitedcargo.com and it shows that the aircraft is a 747???

What are the odds that this could be right? The flight has been showing as not terrible full the last few days, and there is no way they are pulling a 747 into gate 74 at SFO!

But my past experience is that unitedcargo.com is usually more up-to-date/correct than united.com and web support probably didn't make up the thing about equipment swap.

So, what are the odds I should I be planning on riding in the upper deck today?
