IN FL and other convention-oriented places the rates jump hugely. I rented at MIA during the Super Bowl, though and managed a Chevrolet HHR (all they had) for $45 and considered myself lucky. I had to pay US$125 per day at BUD a year ago when reserving at a peak time there, and got a poor Opel Celta for the privilege. That experience has been rare for me. Since I lost PC a month ago the rates have stayed the same but my cars have really changed. I should have rented more!
