If you book through the consolidator, do you loose any benefits (points, miles, upgrades, etc)? Or do you just book, then attach your Hertz number to the reservation?

Everyone (cars, hotels, airlines, etc) appears to be going the breakfast cereal route. Charge $4/box, and have $2.50 coupons. That (thankfully) went away a few years ago.
