Hey Everybody,

I have an upcoming flight from SFO to MUC. I plan on using a UA SWU for this flight (have already received my paper cert) and understand this upgrade only works on a stand-by basis. I've also seen several mentions that order of check-in may impact upgrade clearance, so I'm hoping to get some information around how early I should arrive at SFO. My flight is scheduled for a 9p departure. Also, I live rather close to SFO, so I wouldn't mind swinging by earlier to check-in if that helps. So with that said, does anyone know how early I can check-in on a LH transatlantic out of SFO? I don't believe online check-in is an option when using paper certificates, but correct me if I'm wrong.
