I have been disappointed recently to find that fares for many of my upcoming business trips are twice as high at SWA as at several other airlines. Also, many of the flights are taking me all over the country to get to my destination. For example, to get from Albuquerque to Jackson, Mississippi I have to go through Chicago! ABQ to Columbus, OH goes through Las Vegas.

One of the many reasons I am VERY loyal to SWA is that their routing has always been sensible and intuitive - if you are going east, you usually just fly east! Also, this is the first that I've found their prices to be higher than the competition.

What's going on? I hope this isn't a sign of bad things to come. I do not want to fly other airlines, but may have no choice this year.
