I logged on to aa.com today to set up some flight status notifications and saw an announcement regarding live on-line help. Clicking the link produced the following:

Need help booking a flight on AA.com? Having trouble finding your way around the site? Or just having questions? We're here to help.

We've just added a new interactive feature that makes it easy to get in touch with us. And since you're one of our very best customers, we would like to give you the opportunity to participate in our pilot test and try it before anyone else. Currently, this is only available to a select group of Executive Platinum members.

To try it out, just click on "Contact Us" at the top of any page to pull up our help center window. Then select "Contact AA" to obtain a list of customer service departments. For "Live Help" select AA.com. The Live Help button will appear on the right of the screen for immediate interactive customer service."

I fortunately don't have an aa.com problem right now so I didn't take them up on their offer. Anyone tried it out yet?
