If they get rid of threshold bonuses, then they will need to bring this back. No way is rollover mqms alone going to keep 150k flyers happy. And if DL brings it back, you might as well make it a choice benefit.

I agree, just don't use them. If you want to gift status to the same person for two years. Then you would want to use your 2011 CB for the status and your 2010 CB for something else. This nets you an extra CB.
What I don't like is calling it "choice" benefits when we don't get to choose the same thing twice! Limited choice benefits is more like it.
I guess part of my problem is that I look at the change (in my mind..I know some of you understood this but I took Jeff's wording too "optimistically") to Choice awards from what I THOUGHT it was and the elimination of Threshold awards and try to look at what I am losing as a whole. Threshold awards were not limited by the program year at all...you earned as many as you could and thus the carrot to continue over 125k.
I also question the idea that very few people consistently attain Plat/DM every year. I challenge that there are that many people who's earnings oscillate that much. If you look here on FT most people are Plat, or Gold, or whatever and have been consistently for a long time. If you are/have been then roll-over does not do a lot for you.
