FB...all i can say is chill out..... wait until ur day comes and check it out.
on some flights they may not even open up any inventory for reward redemption..... its really subject to economic, demand conditions and how airlines forecast expected demand and release the number of reward seats accordingly. if demand is good, or the airline shift its priority to upgrade rewards or reward more of its own members at premium mileage then they may not even release any seats out (like SQ / NZ38/39 on most flights).
1. you can book 355 days before your outbound flight date and 355 days before your inbound flight date.....
2. No - you cannot book 355 days before your outbound flight date asking for your inbound flight that departs 1 or 21 days later to be booked at the same time. You will have to call back 355 days before your inbound flight date to book the entire round trip in one go.
3. As a workaround - what people have done is booked their outbound flight 355 days in advance with another inbound trip (prior to the outbound date), then subject to availablity, change the date of the return trip when 355 days for the intended inbound trip is open and pay a $90 change fee.
no point speculating what will happen come Jul / Aug 2011
