For the last 3 years I have been platinum with Continental and got good low cost fares for my regular trips to Panama from Manchester England. I travel 100,000 mile plus and get awarded one mile per mile flown in my status qualification with continental. plus 2x in reward miles

This year I have not had a single upgrade with continental and the fares have risen above other airlines.

At present KLM flys the route but as flying Blue member I only get 25% of the miles on the lowest fares.

I would love to travel with KLM but need the miles to get the status.

My questions are

1. Could i join another member of the Sky team and get full credit for miles flown on KLM?

2. Could I get a status match so as not to start at the lowest level.

3. What other advantages or options do I have to get a good deal.

Please help as Continental is driving me crazy
