This is a wonderful property for platinum members. I am not sure if gold members get the free breakfast and internet (no free internet roaming here), but they gave it to me as a platinum member. My guess is yes for gold members because they are extra friendly to elite members.

For some reason, I was not pre-blocked onto the sixth floor. I got that fixed with the PP line before arrival (nothing like a flight delay to fix these things) and also got a refrigerator for my room. The rooms here are pretty small, and they only have 3 suites (so don't expect a lot of upgrades). Still, they do have the little things like extra toiletries on the CL floor.

The lounge offerings are fairly decent. During my stay over Valentine's weekend for the Sunday night offering:

chicken salad (you put together the various ingredients), chips with salsa, pineapples and grapefruit, spaghetti with ground beef and tomato sauce, vegetable plate, crackers and cheese

carrot cake was offered for dessert and they also had packaged cookies, chips and other snacks to take out of the lounge

fresh fruit (apples, oranges and bananas) to go were also available

The evening offerings are kept out till about 8-8:30 and the dessert remains out until closing at 10 pm.

The only surprising thing was that I did not see any alcohol available in the evening. I don't really drink, but you should ask if you want a drink in the lounge.

The evening concierge is fantastic. I forgot her name, but she really does a good job of making everyone feel at home. She looked at me like I was crazy when I told her about the lounge cutbacks at many Marriott properties in the United States. There are definitely a lot of regular travelers to this hotel (most on business) so you can be sure the great lounge in the evening is a big part of it (along with their emphasis of giving top elite members great service).

I was told that you can go downstairs to the restaurant to have a free omelette prepared when the lounge is open from Monday-Friday. My assumption is that you leave a tip for a server. I did not have enough time to take up that opportunity, but I hope to do so on my next visit.

The breakfast offerings in the lounge were pretty good. Bacon and sausage along with scrambled eggs and hot oatmeal. Cereal, yogurt, bread/bagels, pastries and fresh fruit (watermelon, pineapple and cantaloupe) rounded out the full continental breakfast with milk, coffee, tea and juice available to drink. The packaged cookies were also out along with the fruit to go. I did not find the morning attendant nearly as friendly, and you should make sure to get breakfast before 10 am since she is fairly quick about taking stuff away.

Breakfast at this property is 6-10 am, for the lounge and restaurant everyday. This was a bit of a shock for me since most East Coast Marriott properties have later hours for the weekends, but it is good for those who want to eat early in the morning.

I ordered room service Sunday evening, and I got my Marriott burger (they don't have bacon here) in about 10 minutes. They threw in a free cookie (seemed a bit hard), and the bill was about 10 % less than expected (maybe a small discount for being PP??).

The hotel gym is a bit above average for a Marriott property. They have several cardio machines with individual TV monitors along with dumbbells and a few weight machines. The cardio end reminded me more of a Hyatt gym, although I did not use the gym during my stay.

This property has recently started offering special dinner buffets on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Each buffet costs $26.95+ tax+ tip and includes up to 4 alcoholic drinks per person with one type of drink offered each night. Wednesday is wine with prime rib, Thursday is beer with Irish pub food, and Friday is martinis with steak and seafood. I might try Friday night out in the future since I love steak and seafood even without drinking any alcohol. My guess is that non-alcoholic drinks are free as well. They have a salad bar, fresh vegetables and bread, and a dessert bar thrown in as well.

The one question I have with this property is why do they have a ambulance parked on the second floor of the hotel garage. I will have to ask if someone else does not have the answer.
