Which home airports are you orignating from? For a long weekend, total travel time can make a huge difference. Places that are relatively close which may meet your criteria of interesting town/restaurants/casino: SDQ, SJU, NAS and GCM (no casino). SDQ and SJU both have fantastic colonial era town centres. SJU is the safer of the two from my perspective.

Thanks! I'm going to look at SJU and NAS!

I'll be coming from LAX, my friend from DTW. We'll be meeting at MIA. My guess is that I'd leave on Wednesday, return on Sunday, so I'd have almost four full days (possible overnight at MIA Wednesday night).
