Many of us had to do this in order to get the Chase BA card. Get this - in order to get it, I had to have them close an existing Chase cc and transfer the credit line to the new card. Once I had done that, they required these documents to verify my identity. Huh????? But they were adamant, and 100K points was a big enough carrot for me.
