I have stayed in a couple of areas and I see nil tourist difference between them as I love to walk and view. The metro/bus system is cheap, fast and really widespread. I always travel to/from the airport on it for 5% of a taxi and it is usually faster than a taxi. Best to buy a 1 day or 5 day or whatever pass.
