Well, the subway station the hotel is close to will not really help you as it is not connected to the major subway network. Moreover Sao Paulo's subway system is not that extensive. If you are coming as a tourist I recommend staying in the Jardins area. You'll find plenty of accommodation at the mentioned price range.
