Why not follow your heart JAL will have double miles promotion from 4/1-5/31. That means even on the cheapest N fare ticket from YVR to HKG, you will earn 100% miles but still only 50% FOPs (elite qualifying points) though...

I don't know how likely they will fly on YVR route sorry...you should just camp out at Narita and wait for her...You probably have better odd doing that
