Not truely related to this thread - but something I do every time I can on layovers in NRT -

If you have time to go through customs- there is a shop on the second floor above the checkin counters called "Mochi Cream". They sell WONDERFUL little mochi balls (not like the ice cream - but rather real mochi!)

Little rice cake balls with delightful filling....I hear there is a shop in Hawaii too - but I never seem to layover in HI....

They sell insulating bags, and dry ice (you need to keep them frozen to stay fresh)....we picked up 10 last month, and they kept frozen all the way back to LAX....

WELL worth going to. In fact, I'd skip the JAL lounge massage just to get my hands on a few more of these..
