I find AA's FA's to be very surly these days (on domestic flights) and am rarely comfortable on a flight.

If I had the option and the company was buying an upgradeable fare, I'd use the miles to upgrade on AA and perhaps First or Biz would give a different experience.
but, that's not going to happen.
