If the plane arrives at T6, you should be OK. But I hear they close immigration before the LHR arrival, and you go to TBIT. In that case, no chance of making your connection unless your inbound is really early.

I'd shoot for the nonstop LHR-SFO flight. Customs is usually better, certainly better than LAX.
