I absentmindedly put one in my carry-on leaving LAS a month ago. I didn't even think about the liquid, but rather how I knew it would break in the checked bag. The "wonderful" TSA agent at the security point took my bag off the belt, went through it and said "you have a snow globe". Really? Oh, thanks for telling me.

I had three options;

1. Walk back to the check in desk, have them track down my bag and put it in there.

2. Check my back pack (with lap-top) and other personal/expensive stuff.

3. Throw it away.

Goodbye $30 snow globe! In the name of safety and security of our flight, I opted to have it trashed.
