Customs Dog Attacks 4-Year-Old Girl

Dulles International Airport - The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol says one of its dogs bit a 4-year-old girl during a training exercise at Dulles International Airport.

Spokeswoman Kelly Ivahnenko says it happened Thursday about 10:30 a.m. at the domestic terminal baggage facility. She said it was not known why the dog, a Belgian malinois, bit the child.

Ivahnenko says the girl was bitten on the abdomen and received immediate medical attention and was taken to a hospital. Her condition is not known.
