This is so ridiculous it's laughable.
Delta: We're cancelling all your SkyMiles because we caught you taking a connecting flight MCO-MSP via ATL when there was actually a non-stop. You booked the connecting flight to maximise miles and that's 'illegal'.
This is so laughably stupid, I'd love to see them try this - what a gong show it would be.
Long and skinny of it - if it's a legal routing, then it will allow you to purchase it and ticket it. How they can then say that purchasing something their website or their res system actually offered up and allowed you book is in fact 'fraud' is beyond any kind of logic, and IMO completely unenforceable.
