Im currently staying at the Lima, Peru Sheraton. Im using starpoints for my stay. Im a SPG GOLD, as such, I was upgraded to the 17th floor, which is denoted as a "club floor". The club is on the 18th floor.

I went there for breakfast today, and asked if the breakfast was free, she said yes. I then had a little to eat. She came over to my table and asked my room. I told her. I then found out that there is a CHARGE for the breakfast, according to her (she called the front desk(?)) Im using points for my stay.

So If I go for snacks, I will be charged also?

So now Im a 2nd class citizen since I'm using points? I do not believe this is right. Has anyone else run into this situation before?

Any advice from fellow flyertalkers?

Have you spoken with the manager? Only Platinum's are entitled to Lounge access. However, being upgraded to the club level, you too should have access to the lounge.

What is going on in starwood South American Sheraton properties this week?

"Upgraded" to Executive floor but no access to Club Lounge?

This thread might be combined.
