Sorry this has become a pet peeve. I am curious though, you mention creditability, other than that why is it annonying?
#1 - SWA is a great airline and what I have perceived as a knowing lie conflicts with that image. Reason #2 - it affects my seating strategy. If the flight will indeed be coimpletely full, wife and I are likely to grab adjacent aisles. If there are going to be a bunch of empty seats, we normally take a window and an aisle. and hope the center will stay vacant.
