I've always loved the World Gateway...now that the new North Terminal is open things seem to have really improved....Now if we can just get JFK and ATL with similar rankings we'd be all set

Detroit Metro airport tops customer satisfaction rankings

Detroit Metropolitan Airport has landed the highest ranking in the country for overall customer satisfaction among large airports, according to a report released Thursday by J.D. Power & Associates.
Metro Airport earned the top slot in its category of airports handling 30 million passengers or more a year, leaping up the ranks after a near bottom ranking in 2008 when the study was last conducted.
The airport also performed well on terminal facilities and baggage claim, according to the 2010 North American Airport Satisfactory Study.
"It's really about getting the basics right and getting passengers in and out of the airport with ease," said Stuart Greif, J.D. Power's vice president and general manager for global travel practices
