The ranking change from 2008 to 2009 quite likely has nothing to do with the merger. The has been no change to the McNamara Terminal. It has always been a great 'port.

The new North terminal opened which moved all airlines except NW, Delta & Continental from a '50s era museum to a brand spanking new facility. Thus the 'Big D' experience for passengers on other airlines has been greatly improved.

The North Terminal has a light and airy feel to it, is well laid out and only has a few gates which gives it a 'small airport' feel. EZ in and out. Plenty of space on the ticketing/checkin side, etc.

I have been using it this year since my jump to *A, and while a big fan of the McNamara, am perfectly happy the the North.
