I will be on my 4th trip to Paris for 14 days end of May. I have no idea what you have budgeted for food and site seeing, but If I couldn't afford a decent hotel or apt in a decent area in Paris, and 100 euro is definitly on the low end, I would think twice about coming to Paris. Even buying food in the markets for home preparation is not that economical. My wife still can't forget the $6 coke she had at a ordinary cafe.
it is not matter of not affording the costs but i would rather spend the money on sightseeing and eating out than on a very nice hotel i will be staying in for few hours just to sleep...as long as it is clean and safe
