My dog has a nut allergy - what do I do now?

I am so confused.

I know that I'm allowed to have my dog on board: the government has said so:

But my poor dog has a nut allergy, and I understand Air Canada will accommodate this:

Air Canada can provide nut-free zone

But I am now so confused, because the Canadian Medical Association has just said that that my dog may be a hazard:

So I am thinking:

-- when I book my seat, should I try and book outside the 3-row zone, or hope for a big seat, as noted in the article above, so that my dog is away from the peanuts

-- but could that mean that my dog, now considered a hazard, should mean that I should be moved further away from other passengers?

-- should this not imply that my dog, and therefore me, should have 2 rows of J-class reserved to ourselves, so that we are far away from nuts AND passengers?

-- should I get my dog a Nexus?

I am so confused.
