As long as the name on the new passport is exactly as it is on the ticket, there's no problem. The actual number and other details can be provided at check-in, or you'll get a notice from AC 72-hours prior to your US flight. You can go to your booking for the US flight and enter the new information any time if you wish.

If you have a Nexus or Canpass card, however, you must inform them immediately of your new passport details.
