As 332 and 333 refurbishing work is going on, and additional 332s delivered later this year, KE will put more 330s on European routes than now, then the 772 will be back to US routes. Of course, if economy booms, then they may keep 744s on those routes.

Learn history Long time back, both KE and OZ had night flight on ICN-SFO-ICN for better connections and aircraft utility. However, those who willing to pay premium price (O/D customers) prefer current schedule, KE and OZ changed one by one. I think it's only like 5 years since OZ changed from night to daytime flight. In my experience (Y traveler), midnight flights are painful.

If KE can have more than 1 daily flight on this route, then it will be nighttime flight for flexibility of travelers. But it won't come in a couple of years at least.
