Yes on both counts. The seats fold down to parallel flatbeds. Unlike the herringbone design, which are narrow at the feet, I find these better for sleeping. (Plus you don't feel like you are waking up in a coffin!) Plus 9W provides matteress pads which make for comfortable sleeping.
