Typing this from the F lounge in BKK. When we showed up we were informed that our F seats were no longer available. 20000 BHT later we felt a little better. No bartering took place as we were all bartered out and that was their immediate offer. This is an airmiles trip and the cash pays for a good portion of our month long vacation's expenses (we stay in beach huts on small Andaman island, Ko Lipe). We've been told the new plane is a 777-300 and since the flight leaves at 9:55pm, as long as the seats are comfy (16A+B), we can handle the loss of F. The other factor is that this was on the short BKK to NRT leg. If it had been on one of the trans oceanic legs we would have been right miffed. 8.5 hrs in the BKK F lounge and spa makes it tough for us to get and stay mad at TG.
