Is the HI walkable? I've found that the first mile is the killer, the rest of the drive won't be affected by the stampede anyway.
We stayed at a HI just a couple of minutes by car from the Giants stadium later year - three minutes from hotel car park to stadium, just over two hours back. 1hr58 getting to the big road (1 mile), 2 mins to the hotel (the next two miles!)
