London IC Park Lane has always taken the payment for any Advance Purchase bookings pretty much straight away for me (or within a couple of business days). I always expect it to be taken immediately, as per t&c's, so it's never an issue. Over they years I have used Advance Purchase (and similar Leisure Weekends rate) at other IC's and it does vary from property to property though.
