I rented a car over the thanksgiving holiday from Hertz PHL airport location. A month after the rental a charge appeared for Platepass. When I contacted them they said I incurred charges in NY. I told them I was never in NY. I contacted Hertz who said they could do nothing about it and that I should contact American Traffic Solution. ATS said I have to prove that I was not in NY on the day in question. This is a scam, a rip-off and a con. It is not like I used the car in NY on the tolls and did not know it. I was never in New York. I have disputed it with the credit card company but Hertz said I agreed to pay charges to the car. I continue to dispute the charge. This clearly involves wire fraud and consumer fraud. I will be contacting the attorney general in PA and AZ.
