Hmmm, I hadn't considered QF having a US style lounge model; certainly easy to see that programming change being a prelude to having SG or even WP lose QP benefit. Doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise from a system design standpoint. Or at least positioning for such (maybe as part of selling of the FF plan so it is no longer part of QF, or even selling off the lounges so they are not owned by QF).
