Let's just say Khushwant Singh -- a nearby resident to use an understatement given the history of the area is inseparable from the history of his family -- wrote in his year-end review in one of the top two Indian papers that he mourned the passing of my dearest political mentor who lived for decades on Subramanian Bharti Marg literally diagonal to Khan Market. While he wasn't in good enough health to pay his respects in person that day, PM Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi were there.

It's indeed one of the best locations in Delhi.
