My question isn't really AC/AP related, but I am hoping that someone with a points.com account can provide me with this information;

- Can you do an Esso to AA Advantage swap using points.com ?

- What is the transfer ratio ?

- What is the minimum number of Esso points that you can transfer ?

- Do the names on the Esso and AA accounts have to match ?

If you can do this swap I imagine the ratio isn't going to be stellar, but I am less than 200 AA miles away from my spring trip to Europe. So I thought signing up for the Esso Extra program and filling up my car with gas might get me the necessary AA miles.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide this information.

Is there a Points.com master thread somewhere on FT ?
Thanks thebobmc.... I actually used the BA points for CX...so another twist...

I just quickly logged onto points.com.

I have 251 Esso points in my account. Points.com gave me the option of swapping them into 51 AA points....

You can get this info very easily..just get a points.com account and register your various points programs...

Then 'ask' for he options (a button)..

So, a swap is possible, to answer the first part of your question...If you are not under time constraints, I would take the chance of transferring into the unmatched account...may work...of course if it doesnt you may end up in points limbo.....

Sorry, thats all the info I have for you....

Good luck with it!
