This may be covered somewhere, but I cannot find it.

We are looking at flights from ORD to Dubai and would like a stopover somewhere in Europe. If we fly Swiss with a stopover in Zurich, can we earn miles on Air Canada or United? As we don't travel for business, most of our miles are earned on credit cards, but it would be nice to actually earn some miles on such long flights. <smile>
