I wouldn't say that was case at all.
On a purely numbers basis, 2/8 (25%) seats in a WT+ row are middles (all aircraft) whereas 3/9 (33%) of seats on a 777 in Y are middles and 4/10 (40%) are on a 747.
It's true that a higher proportion of WT+ passengers probably have status and can pre-assign, but I would say you're still more likely to end up in the middle in Y.
