I have to say calling Qantas USA is an experience... the customer service reps have as much attitude here as they do in Australia... luckily after repeatedly asking for a supervisor and being told "He will tell you the same thing I just did" with an attitude, I was able to cancel my reservation. Because this flight was changed initially by the airline, Qantas supervisor promised to refund my 10k and some 27GBP fees/taxes. I hope its true.


I rebooked on Spanair for 14 Euro... with tax it was 29 Euro and for 10 Euro more I chose the option to be able to change my flight up to 2 hours of original departure. No matter how bad or good Spanair may be, I think I'll manage to get to Barcelona in time to do a little sightseeing and continue on my journey to France that same day.
